NoCodeSaas - Issue 1 - Let's talk building SaaS with #nocode
In this newsletter, I’m going to take you behind the curtain of building a SaaS on Bubble. I’ll showcase some of the most impressive apps being built by the community, and share some of the tips and tricks I’ve used to build and scale my app.
My goal is to inspire you and show you what it’s possible to build using visual programming. It’s like having a superpower!
I’ve started, grown and sold several startups, and I believe the recent rise of no-code tools represents the biggest opportunity in years for new SaaS businesses to be made.
What to expect
I’m going to publish a newsletter every week on a Friday, diving into a different topic related to building a #nocodesaas.
Here’s some of the topics I’ll be covering first…
🛠 Build Tips Get your app structure right up front by planning your database and app structure. Save yourself headaches down the line!
🤖 API Integrations Bubble’s API Connector allows you to do some incredible things with 3rd party services. I’ll walk you through some example integrations in my app including Shopify, Postmark, Slack and Ghost. We’ll touch on some of the great things you can do.
🔌 Plugin Reviews I’ll walk you through some of the most impressive Bubble plugins that can take your app to the next level. Everything from rich text editors to QR code generators and notifications.
📏 Frameworks How to use Bubble Frameworks to accelerate your build process and give your app a professional look and feel. Spend more time on building features that add value rather than styling.
🙌 Freelancers & Ousourcing. Picking the right freelancers to help you with things like marketing, email design and copywriting.
I’m also going to be sharing the best projects, plugins and frameworks from the #nocode community.
There’s never been a better time to start building.
Subscribe and join me for the ride, let’s build some amazing apps together!
Here’s a selection of my favorite #nocode tweets from this week showcasing some of the most impressive projects, frameworks & plugins.
@NeilRyanPierce launches Dark Carbon Starter Application Kit.
This is a fantastic example of the quality of some application kits available for Bubble. Using a famework like this can turbocharge your development and make your app look super professional.
#NoCode Submission of my @bubble Dark Carbon Template is submitted. I've decided to release this version as a simple blank canvas for Bubble Devs to use and get the core structure of their app off the ground quickly. Great for internal apps and dashboard panels. https://t.co/tUWGw62thX
@Shikuwangombe‘s impressive @PesaNote app showcases a beautifully built dashboard.
This app with integrated light & dark mode offers the easiest way to track your card, cash and mobile money expenses - all built in Bubble!
Lights Off. ⚫️
Lights On. ⚪️
The dark mode / light mode option is still one of my favorite parts of the app. 😍
Thinking of doing a thread on how I built this. Drop a like and retweet if you'd be interested in a thread on it :)

This is one of the leading examples of the incredible user experiences which are possible on Bubble. With this update, Thimo makes it possible for users to create embeddable PayPal buttons in seconds.
One more thing...
I was thrilled that Bubble decided to feature UserLoop as their app of the day series, I contributed a story around UserLoop’s creation and the process of building and scaling the app. I’ll be covering lots more of this in the coming weeks!
Veteran Bubbler @jamesdevonport sold his first Bubble app idea RemoteQuiz - and now is building @UserLoopHQ, an app that helps brands create and send better customer feedback surveys. Learn more on our featured #nocode App of the Day series: https://t.co/P6ncFFxZUJ https://t.co/5PEPt4U6DV
